Stratford School cuts ribbon at Milpitas Beresford Square campus

Stratford School is holding an open house at its Milpitas Beresford Square campus Jan. 28 at 10 a.m.

Located at 125 N. Milpitas Blvd., the school’s newly redeveloped single-story building features 20 classrooms, a performance-equipped multipurpose room, a library and outdoor playground spaces.

Following a Jan. 19 ribbon cutting, Stratford is open for tours. The school offers STEAM-based curriculum for preschoolers through second-graders.

Events for older adults

Bay Area Older Adults is hosting free programs in February for adults age 50 and older.

A 3.5-mile moderate walk is set for Feb. 8, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at La Honda Creek Preserve. The hike will cover upper La Honda Creek through an area that is by permit only, and a vista point that has panoramic views of the ocean and the Santa Cruz Mountains. The hike is hosted in partnership with Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District.
